    Public Beta

A beta is an early release of features or products that may or may not become more widely available at a later date. Early participation allows clients to provide feedback and help shape our product to meet their needs.

    • Availability: Limited or invite only; participation is voluntary
    • Production readiness: Usually not suitable
    • Support: Limited; clients should expect issues and changing features, though our support team is happy to help when they can
    • Pricing: No additional cost, but free use can be discontinued at any time and without notice
    • Retirement process: Can be retired or altered at any time and without notice

    Limited Availability

Limited availability features and products are fully functional, but provided only to specific user groups or regions as part of a gradual rollout strategy.

    • Availability: Only to specific user groups or region
    • Production readiness: Suitable for production workloads, but not guaranteed; SLAs apply in some cases but are not backed by credit issuance
    • Support: Full
    • Pricing: Standard, with exceptions for SLAs
    • Retirement: Follows retirement protocol

    Public Availability

Broad availability features and products are fully functional and available to all Nexcess clients.

    • Availability: All Nexcess clients
    • Production readiness: Suitable for all production workloads
    • Support: Full
    • Pricing: Standard
    • Retirement: Follows retirement protocol

Our goal is to retire features and products only when we can offer replacements that provide better value to our clients and to be transparent about any and all upcoming changes.

To that end, we provide the following:

    • Reasonable advance notice: For minor changes relating to retirement or deprecation, we give at least 1 month’s notice. For major features or products, we provide at least 6 months’ notice.
    • Effective alternatives: Whenever possible, we provide comparable alternatives from either our own offerings or from reputable third parties. When appropriate, we automatically migrate client services to these alternatives.
    • 100 percent support until the retirement date: Whether the day before, or months before, we’ll work with you to get the results you need.

On occasion, we may need to accelerate our retirement timeline due to extenuating circumstances. These include, but are not limited to, security-related events and decisions made by third parties to change or discontinue an integrated feature or service. In such cases, we will provide as much advance notice as circumstances allow.
